At a property today removing bird nesting from a loft space. Starlings were well established here in this roof, which as a result had made rather a mess in the loft. . Starlings are protected as a wild bird so it was important to make sure that they had fledged before carrying out any work.. . All nesting and contaminated insulation has been removed, and we have carried out a biocide treatment to kill any harmful organisms spread in droppings. . Many insect infestations can originate from old nesting material, including carpet moth, fleas, mites and ticks. . An insecticide treatment was carried out in the end to help prevent future insect infestations for the customer. . Finally the hole was proofed up to ensure birds cannot re-enter. Don't worry tho, a bird box will be fitted next week when it's less windy so they will still have a home 🏡 . Problem with birds? Why not ask us to carry out a survey for you. . 📞 01793 780600 💻 www.kryptonenvironmental.co.uk
It's that time of year folks! . 🐝 Wasps are still to build nests, you may start to see small nests in sheds and lofts about the size of a tennis ball 🥎. . These nests will continue to grow over the summer as wasps build and reproduce. Come mid August a single nest can be home yo between 5,000 and 15,000 wasps 😮 . Don't let wasps disrupt your summer, give Krypton Environmental a buzz, we won't sting you!
This isn't an exaggeration, but I've just had the best burger I've ever tasted! Head over to Helen Brownings mobile van in the Bishopstone village hall car park. You won't be disappointed! They are also doing pizzas tomorrow in the garden of the Royal Oak in Bishopstone.
A day of rodent proofing today. Rats were entering the kitchen via this hole in the floor behind the fridge. . 🐀The hole was baited and sealed with concrete to ensure that no further rats can gain access to the kitchen to ensure the family are kept safe and rodent free.
